Kelly is currently the Marketing and Media Manager at REDCAT, Calarts’ Downtown Center for Contemporary Arts, and has also been Director of Publicity at UCLA Live Performing Arts, and worked as a lead publicist with several independent film distributors including KINO International, Zeitgeist and First Run Features, specializing in documentaries, as well as with MHz Networks, distributing European TV dramas.

Kelly is a co-founder of the Dance Camera West Festival in LA (2001), and has been an honorary board member of the Dance on Camera Festival in New York. She has served on the boards of the Silver Lake and the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festivals.

Kelly is a graduate of University of Windsor’s renowned Communications program, and holds a Masters in Dance Film Theory for New York University’s Gallatin School.

Kelly began her career as a dance company manager and then decided she’d rather be on stage, so enrolled in Montréal’s Concordia University Contemporary Dance Program. Lured by the emerging field of dance video, she then attended NYU’s Gallatin School, creating a unique dance and film theory masters program.

She spent a decade as an on-air radio host of music and arts programs in Canada (CJAM fm, Windsor ON, CKUT fm, Montreal Qc) and has written about dance for EyeSpyLA.org; Danceinsider.com, Ballet-Tanz International, Dance on Camera News, Danceonline.com, Cover Magazine, Dance Connection Magazine.

Since then she has made several dance films that have been shown throughout the world. The most recent is CARGO, which is available on DVD. She has traveled internationally, lecturing and presenting programs of dance films and teaching marketing and publicity to dancefilm makers.
